The events are available to online ticket holders to view as many times as they like for one month from Saturday, 30 October.

We are offering the Festival’s three main Bach events online for £12 so that fans can enjoy the Festival from the comfort of their own homes or watch again if they have attended the events live in Brecon.

Shaping the Baroque from Brecon Cathedral (80 minutes)

Rachel Podger and Brecon Baroque are joined by Trinity Baroque and Fretwork under the direction of Julian Podger for the 2021 Festival’s opening concert.

Programme-maker Lindsay Kemp and Timothy Day trace the 250-mile walk the young J S Bach made in 1705 in search of Buxtehude and answers to questions about his own musical future including some of Kemp’s favourite pictures, insights and anecdotes from the pilgrimage.

Mostly Johann from Theatr Brycheiniog (75 minutes)

Rachel Podger and Brecon Baroque’s ‘Mostly Johann’ programme features music for strings, chamber organ and the oboe from J S Bach to relatives Johann Bernhard and Johann Ludwig Bach plus Johann Krebs, Johann Kerll and Johann Gottlieb Goldberg, all important German Baroque composers.
