Gwen John - Art & Life in London and Paris

A talk by the book’s author, Dr Alicia Foster

The Tithe Barn, Brecon Cathedral Close

Saturday, 17 October at 2.45pm

Gwen John is one of Wales' most famous artists. She saw the world differently - quietly, attentively, and with extraordinary depth.

The National Museum of Cardiff put together a superb retrospective of Gwen John entitled Strange Beauties this year. The exhibition and Dr Alicia Foster’s book Gwen John: Art & Life in London and Paris both received rave reviews, the latter nominated as The Sunday Times’ Art Book of the Year.

We are delighted to welcome art historian, curator and author Dr Alicia Foster to Brecon Baroque Festival to shine her light on the life and work of Gwen John.

Duration: One hour plus book signing.

Tickets: £15
