Rachel Podger directs Brecon Baroque Festival Orchestra and Brecon Baroque for the Festival’s grand finale with mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Nurse, Mélisande Corriveau (Viola da Gamba) and Emilia Agajew (baroque triple harp). The Festival Orchestra will be complemented by students from conservatoires across Europe.

South Powys Youth Music will also take to the stage for its customary showcase spot.

  • Handel – Ombra mai fu, from Serse

  • Vivaldi – Lo seguitai felice, from L’Olimpiade RV 725

  • Graun – Double concerto for violin and viola da gamba in C minor

  • SPYM slot

  • Handel – harp concerto in B flat major

  • John Gay – Cease your Fuming, from The Beggar’s Opera

  • JC Bach – The Broom of Cowden Knowes

  • Domenico Gallo – La Follio in G minor

Duration: 90 minutes including a 20-minute interval
